Graduate Certificate in Diversity

The Higher Education Program offers a Graduate Certificate in Diversity. The program consists of 12-credit hours taken over three semesters. The certificate program is coordinated by Dr. Shanda Gore, Associate Vice President for The Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women and The Minority Business Development Center and President of the Ohio Diversity Officers Collaborative. Subject matter experts are featured as guest speakers throughout the program. All classes are taught online.

Program Courses:

The 12-credit hours equal three courses that provide knowledge and understanding of different aspects of diversity, such as theory, understanding, personal communication, and exploring the various dimensions, and application of diversity. The courses may be taken in any order and all three are offered online. The three courses include:

  • HED 5910 Diversity Beginnings (Fall semester)
  • HED 5960 Diversity in Practice (Spring semester)
  • HED 5970 Diversity Advancement (Summer semester)
