APPLY FOR CERTIFICATE IN BIOINFORMATICS & BIOMARKERS


  • PROFESSIONAL SCIENCE MASTERS IN BIOMARKERS & DIAGNOSTICS
    • The PSM is a degree primarily designed for those interested in careers with companies that focus on biomedical testing and interpretation of genome sequences.
    • Involves the four core courses as above, plus additional courses in molecular biology and business, and an internship with a relevant company.

APPLY FOR PSM DEGREE

 

  • MASTERS IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE, CONCENTRATION IN BIOINFORMATICS
    • The MSBS in bioinformatics is primarily designed for those interested in research careers, whether academic, commercial or governmental. These students often go on to earn PhD, MD, or MBA degrees.
    • Involves the four core courses as above, plus additional courses in molecular biology, electives, and a research project leading to a thesis. Short commercial internships may be taken as an elective.

APPLY FOR MASTERS DEGREE

 

  •  DUAL DEGREE: BS IN BIOLOGY / MSBS IN BIOINFORMATICS
    • The dual degree “pipeline” program is for current biology majors at the University of Toledo or University of Findlay, who wish to earn both the bachelor’s degree in biology and the master’s degree in bioinformatics in ~5.5 years (vs. 6-7 years for the separate degrees), saving both time and costs.
