Online Public Health Master's Degree Overview

Our online generalist M.P.H. program offers a broad overview of public health through courses focusing on epidemiology, health promotion and health policy.

The generalist program is perfect if you want to pursue a career in public health or a career that blends public health concepts with business, medicine, sociology or other fields.

Public health generalist students:

  • Learn about protecting and improving the health of communities
  • Learn to integrate theory and practice in preparation to become a public health professional
  • Take courses in biostatistics, environmental health, management and leadership, and social determinants of health

M.P.H. students who choose to not immediately enter the workforce typically continue their education  at UToledo's medical school, physician assistant program or Ph.D. program in health education. Students also enroll in programs at other universities throughout the U.S. and around the world. 

Online Public Health Master's Degree Highlights
