Minor in Leadership

Competencies Include:
  • Motivate and inspire employees to work towards a common goal
  • Make ethical decisions
  • Evaluate and counsel individual and group performance
  • Engage in effective group communication
  • Manage and resolve conflicts

Complete the following required courses: 

  • MGMT 4330 Organizational Leadership and Management Practicum
  • MGMT 4780 Leadership and Managerial Competencies

Complete any (2) of the following courses:

  • HURM 3220 Human Resource Management
  • HURM 3630 Conflict Management:  Mediation and Negotiations
  • MGMT 3700 Best Practices in Diversity Leadership
  • MGMT 3770 Ethics in Leadership and Management
  • MGMT 4210 Leading and Managing Organizational Improvement

While the minor in Leadership is only for Business Majors, the courses have no prerequisites, so any undergraduate student on campus is eligible to enroll in the courses.
