REMOTE SERVICES OFFERED DURING COVID-19 CLOSURE

 

ATTN: CURBSIDE SERVICE FOR FACULTY, Staff, and Students

Starting Monday, May, 18th Carlson Library will offer curbside pickup for University of Toledo faculty, staff, and students.

Monday - Thursday from the hours of 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Patrons may request Carlson or Mulford Library items* through the University Libraries catalog. After items have been collected and processed, users will receive an email to their rocket account notifying items are ready for pickup and a link to the following form to schedule pickup: pickup appointment form

Please wait for hold pickup notices before scheduling an appointment for pickup. Items will be picked up at the Carlson Library loading dock. We ask all patrons to respect social distancing guidelines and refrain from approaching library personnel.

Circulation: Physical Items, Fines, and Returning Items

Due dates for materials are being extended automatically. If you are receiving late notices for materials past due during the closure please disregard. Fines accrued during the closure will be waived. 

If you reside locally, please keep all materials until we reopen. If you do not live locally and are returning to your place of residence, you may return books via Carlson Library Book Drop located at the South Entrance (river-side). If you have already returned to your non-local place of residence, the library will distribute directions on how to return materials at a later date.

If you have previously sent an issue to circ@utoledo.edu and have not gotten a response, please forward your problem to Ruth Jacobs.

 

Course Reserves

Electronic Course Reserves are still available at this time. 

If you are a student trying to access course reserves, some materials are available through our library catalog by searching course number. Additional materials may be available through your Online course page. Additional information about accessing Course Reserves can be found here: https://libguides.utoledo.edu/reserves

If you are a Faculty or Staff member placing items on electronic reserve, you do not need to fill out the Reserve Request at this time. Please send course number and reserve materials by e-mail to Jennifer.Babcock2@utoledo.edu for both UToledo campuses at this time. If you have a specific title required for the documents, please include those as well.

Electronic Resources: Databases, eBooks, Online Journal

The University Libraries provide access to thousands of electronic resources, virtually all of which are available to UToledo current students, faculty, and staff from anywhere Electronic resources will continue to be available during COVID – 19 related closures.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILLIAD) BORROWING & REQUESTS

 Requests for digital materials are still being considered. Please note, libraries across the world are affected by closures, we may not be able to fill your request due to financial restraints or availability.

Book delivery has been suspended until further notice. Due to copyright constraints, if you only need a chapter of a particular book, we strongly encourage you to submit it as an article request and indicate it is a book chapter in the "notes" field of the request. This may allow you to receive this item digitally.

Remote Reference and Research help is available to Health Science Campus affiliates during this time. You can contact the Mulford Reference Department by phone or email. These accounts are staff from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, but may be checked intermittently after hours or on weekends.  Chat reference assistance is available from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily from the Mulford Library page.
