NATIONAL

Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COAPRT) 

National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for NCTRC Certification.

Currently, there are five states that require licensure as a Recreation Therapist.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals, Professional Licensure and Certification

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for licensure as a Recreation Therapist in New Hampshire.

New Jersey

 New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs - State Board of Medical Examiners

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for licensure as a Recreation Therapist in New Jersey. 

NORTH CAROLINA

North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for licensure as a Recreation Therapist in North Carolina.

OKLAHOMA

Oklahoma Therapeutic Recreation Specialists

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for licensure as a Recreation Therapist Specialist in Oklahoma.

UTAH

Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing

Completion of the UToledo COARPT-accredited BS in Recreation Therapy program meets educational requirements to apply for licensure as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in Utah.
