Walgreens Pharmacy Practice Camp

Walgreens new logo

Pharmacy Summer Camp is sponsored by Walgreens and supported by Rite Aid. We have so much to show you about this exciting profession with various hands-on, interactive activities. Pharmacy Summer Camp activities include professional job shadowing, pharmaceutical science and formulation labs, faculty presentations and activities, student discussions, and career panels. Campers spend free time at the UT Rec Center with enthusiastic camp counselors who are current UT Pharmacy students. They also explore UT's campuses and take a field trip off campus. See the Schedule of Events for more details.

The $400 summer camp fee includes all room and meal expenses and all scheduled camp activities.  Students stay in a campus residence hall with camp counselors (one counselor for every 8 students).  Participants are responsible for transportation to and from The University of Toledo.

Because of generous camp sponsorship by Walgreens, need-based financial assistance is often available for students meeting federal free- or reduced-school lunch requirements or ACT/SAT fee waiver requirements, or with a letter from a school counselor attesting to financial need. Students are asked to apply for a camp fee waiver by mailing a copy of the letter granting free- or reduced-school lunch or test fee waivers, or by providing a letter from a school counselor, by the application deadline.
