Scientific Instrumentation Summer Camp 2026
Looking to gain hands-on experience with instrumentation used in fields such as medicine, forensic science and environmental research? Want to get a head start on the skills and techniques you'll need to prepare you for future studies and career opportunities? You will get hands on experience with scientific instrumentation that is used professional fields such as medicine, forensics, biology, chemistry, engineering and environmental science.
Firsthand experience using instrumentation developed through Nobel Prize winning research.
Laser desportion ionization, MALDI-MS (2002)
Super resolution microscopy (2014)
Single crystal X-ray diffraction (1914, 1915, 1985)
Nuclear magnetic resonance (1952, 1991, 2003)

For GPS driving directions to the Instrumentation Center, located on UToledo's main campus, please use 3100 W. Towerview Blvd., Toledo, OH., 43606, as the destination.
- When you arrive at the University of Toledo, park in Area 13, directly adjacent to Wolfe Hall. (Parking permits are required.) You can pay for hourly parking on the go from the ease of your own phone by using the ParkMobile app or ParkMobile website.
- Enter the doors to Wolfe Hall.
- Once inside the building, turn right and continue down the hallway until you see the Chemistry Support Services doors.
- Take the elevator to the right of these doors to go down to the basement.
- Upon exiting the elevator, turn left and you will see the entrance to the Instrumentation Center!
