Chief of Strategy and Business Insights
Terence Romer
Terence Romer was named the chief of strategy and business insights in May 2024. Romer serves as a chief advisor to the president and other senior leaders in areas of data analytics, operations research, strategic initiatives and business development.
Prior to joining the Office of the President, Romer was the associate vice president for business insights in the Division of Finance and Administration, where he helped with the development of the University’s operating budget with a focus on revenue forecasting and strategic alignments with internal and external constituents. Prior to joining the Division of Finance and Administration, Romer held leadership roles within various areas of the University.
Romer began his professional career in 1996 at the Medical College of Ohio. He joined The University of Toledo in November 2005, just prior to the announcement of the merger between the two institutions. Romer, who received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Toledo, resides in Oregon, Ohio, with his wife and children.
