Parking Permits

Parking permits for students and graduate assistants will be available for purchase after Fall 2020 grades are posted.

Please note that for the 2020-21 academic year only, residential students with less than 30 earned credit hours will be afforded a D permit to park in residential parking areas on Main and Health Science Campus. There will be no residential permit parking on Scott Park Campus.


 ParkMobile and NuPark, the new parking management system, are now live across Campuses. For assistance, please email parking@utoledo.edu.

student permits

Permit assignments are based on three components: earned credit hours, residential status and program type.

All communication regarding permits and citations will be communicated by UToledo email.  It is the responsibility of all students to regularly check their Rockets email account.

Permit Types: 

All Residential Students will be issued D permits for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021

< 30 and > 30 earned credit hours 

K Underclassman Commuter

< 30 earned credit hours
C Upper Class Commuter > 30 earned credit hours
A Graduate Assistant

student rate:

  • $125 per semester
  • Students may purchase a permit with a credit card, e-check or choose to send the bill to their student account.  

MULTIPLE VEHICLES

Four vehicles may be on the same permit.  However, if multiple vehicles are scanned on campus during a three hour time period, congruent citations will still be issued.  

Disabled Parking- A permit is required when utilizing disability spaces.  If you have a State issued handicap placard in your name, you may utilize any handicap parking space as long as your Handicap Placard is visible.  Before parking on campus, please bring your placard and state registration to the Parking & Transportation Office for further assistance.

 FACULTY & STAFF PERMITS

Permit types available for employees are:

  • A Employee- $165/ Academic year
  • E-Reserved- $800 / Academic year
  • A AAUP- $200/ Academic year
  • U CWA/AFSCME/ FOP- Negotiated rate
  • G Medical Doctor- $385/ Academic year

MULTIPLE VEHICLES

Four vehicles may be on the same permit.  However, if multiple vehicles are scanned on campus during a three hour time period, a ticket will still be issued.    

Disabled Parking- If you have a State issued handicap placard in your name, you may utilize any handicap parking space as long as your Handicap Placard is visible.  If there are no disability accessible parking spaces, you must park where your permit allows.  A UT parking permit is required when utilizing the disability accessible parking spaces.

Ending a permit 

Upon selecting the payroll deduction option, your permit will continue until you chose to cancel it or you are no longer receiving  a paycheck.  If you wish to end your current permit and the associated deductions, please email Parking@utoledo.edu .  

Changing The Permit Type

If your employee classification changes during your employment you may receive an email that your permit needs to be changed.  If this occurs, we will end your current permit and you will be instructed to buy a new one.  Should you wish to change your permit type because your shift change or your classification change, please email the parking office to inquire about the next steps that need to be taken.

 


Guest Permits

Welcome to The University of Toledo! All visitors on campus are encouraged to purchase a guest permit, see details below.

  • Guest permits are $5 per day
  • Guests may park in "C" lots in white lined spaces.
  • A guest parking permit cannot be used to park in metered spaces. Metered spaces require a separate payment. 
  • A guest account must be created in order to secure a guest permit  
  • You will be able to secure five (5) consecutive days per permit
  • Payments may be made with a credit card, e-check, or e-savings
  • We are unable to refund guest permits; nor can we change the dates

As a thank you for your service and dedication to The University of Toledo, we would like to help you register for a parking permitIf you do not have a rocket number, please  Apply.

If you have a rocket number and know your UTAD log in, please sign in to the Parking Portal and apply for your permit.  If you do not remember your log in information, please visit the MyUT website and select Account Maintenance, or call the IT Help Desk for more assistance at 419-530-4100.
