University of Toledo

Gillham Hall

The building now known known as Gillham Hall was originally constructed in 1953 to serve as UToledo’s library and the law library. After the completion of Carlson Library in 1973, it was rededicated as Gillham Hall in 1973 in honor of Mary Gillham, who ran the University’s library for more than 40 years. The building was renovated and reopened in 2007 with a completely new interior look featuring classrooms, offices and computer labs for education majors. Currently, Gillham houses the Judith Herb College of Education, Carver Teacher Education Center and the Ada D. Stevens Early Childhood laboratory.
