2020 Summer Arts Workshops/Camps

The University of Toledo School of Visual and Performing Arts will present a number of summer workshops at UToledo exploring a range of arts genres - from flute to guitar to art to choral conducting. All visual arts workshops will be held at the UToledo Center for the Visual Arts, 620 Museum Drive. All music workshops will be held in the Center for Performing Arts on the UToledo Main Campus. Age ranges vary according to the workshop.

Music Summer Workshops - 2020

Flute Camp with Joel Tse and Amy Heritage  |  June 15-19
Flute Camp presenter, Joel Tse works with a camp student/Toledo Symphony flutist Joel Tse and Amy Heritage, 2nd Flute with TSO and instructor at the Toledo Symphony School of Music, will lead classes in all aspects of flute playing and performance.  Morning workshop for beginning flutists.  Daylong programming for high school through advanced flutists.  Chamber and solo performance opportunities, piccolo workshop, flute crafts and more!
Guitar Camp with Jay Rinsen Weik  |  July 13-17
A student playing an electric guitarNew this year is a guitar camp for high school students. Learn the basics of the instrument, improve upon current skills and explore a wide range of music genres with this versatile instrument.
Choral Conducting Workshop |  July 28-30

Choral Conducting workshop is July 24-26This comprehensive and immersive choral conducting workshop is intended is designed to serve and educate individuals as conductor, teacher, leader, scholar, performer, and servant. Conductors will engage in sessions covering a wide variety of topics. This year's workshop will allow conductors to choose from either a three day immersion workshop, or a one day workshop.
