In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, the Eberly Center is hosting a series of programs to celebrate and inspire women's political participation. All events are online and open to the public.

Women's Equality Day

We're kicking off the conversations on social media with an ECW Women's Equality Day Facebook Frame! Add the frame to your profile pic and share your first memory connected to voting or tell us why you vote! Use the hashtag #rocketsatthepolls and tag @eberlycenter to be entered into the raffle for an ECW Nevertheless She Persisted shirt! Frame available starting on August 24, 2020.

The Eberly Center is joining forces with the Matriots for a panel discussion on why women should run for office. ECW Spotlight with alishea sutton
Equality deferred: Acknowledging the role of black sororities during the women's suffrage movement

October 28 | 12 PM

While the Women’s Suffrage Movement focused on voting rights for women, Black women, Latinas, and Asian American women weren’t granted the right to vote until years after the 19th Amendment passed. Equality Deferred will discuss the role of Black sororities and their contribution to the movement despite being denied the right to vote with the passage of the 19th Amendment.
