Available Minors in Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice Minor 

This minor is an excellent option for those interested in the area of criminal justice but also have an interest in another field (e.g. business, law, accounting, a foreign language, etc.).  A total of 21 hours of Criminal Justice Courses is required to complete the Criminal Justice Minor. The minor, which is open to students of all majors, is designed to give the student an overview of the criminal justice discipline. It includes an introductory survey course and one foundation course in each of the four areas recommended by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. The remaining six hours gives the student freedom to explore particular areas of interest in criminal justice.

Forensic Science Investigation  

This minor is a fantastic option for students interested in the investigations side of law enforcement.  A total of 23 hours of coursework is required to complete the minor in Forensic Science Investigation.  This minor is open to all students at The University of Toledo. The minor is designed to provide an overview of the importance of forensic science evidence in the Criminal Justice System. Consequently, the minor in forensic science investigation is ideal for students who are seeking a career in law enforcement or other related agencies responsible for investigation crimes and securing evidence.
