Dr. Long graduated with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Toledo in 2018. She earned a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a minor in Counseling in 2014 from the University of Toledo. Dr. Long’s research interests include wellness integration in professional counseling with a focus on best practices. Dr. Long has published articles in peer-reviewed counseling journals such as the Journal of Counseling & Development, the Journal of Mental Health Counseling, and The Family Journal. She has also published several books chapters and has presented nationally at the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision(ACES) and the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC). Dr. Long is engaged in the provision of counseling services and clinical supervision in a private practice setting. She is certified in multiple modalities to include Wellness Counseling (CWC), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C- DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
