Richard Boyer came to the University of Toledo from Eastern Illinois University in 1964. During his thirty-year tenure at UT, he directed the Faculty Bowling League and represented UT on the Faculty Advisory Committee to the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents.
Dr. Boyer’s concentration is British History, from the Tudor Era until the present. His publications include English Declarations of Indulgence, 1687 and 1688, published in 1968; and “Oliver Cromwell and the Puritan Revolt”, a chapter in Problems in European Civilization, in 1966. He collects military relics, mostly from World Wars I and II, but also including a Spanish swivel cannon dated 1690. In addition, he collects first edition books on English history and comic books.

This collection includes records of the Ohio Board of Regents and its Faculty Advisory Committee to the Chancellor. It includes OBOR and FAC minutes, correspondence, publication, and general files. The papers date from the late sixties until 1994 and they are arranged chronologically.
