UToledo Medical Center is the primary logo. It is to be used when promoting:

• overall brand
• hospital
• service lines

The logo consists of the UT shield icon, typography and color ‘fin’.

The icon and typoography appear on a UTMC blue color field or dark gray color field.

The logo aligns flush to the right edge of the document.

The UT shield accompanies the UTMC logotype.

The UT shield can not appear in blue in the healthcare space. (legal issue)

UToledo Physicians logo is for use in physician marketing (advertising, collateral, digital)

UTMC logo has five variations. Following are criteria for using each variation.

Full-color with fin

• medium: advertising, literature, signage, identity
• placement: logo mark bleeds off the right edge of the live area
• output: full-color

1-color with fin (70% black)

• medium: advertising, literature, signage
• placement: logo mark bleeds off the right edge of the live area
• output: black and white

Reverse without fin

• medium: advertising, literature, signage, identity, merchandise
• placement: logo mark is reversed out of a solid color and appears as white
• output: color or black and white

1-color outlined shield without fin (PMS 294)

• medium: white coats, email signature, return addresses when on white, when locked up with UToledo logo (also will be outlined shield). Other special uses to be approved by UToledo Marketing Strategist, Catharine Harned.
• placement: logo mark is printed in PMS 294 on a white, PMS 116C or 108 U background or very light background color
• output: color

UTMC logo can be paired with department names for application on branded colored wearables.

Typography for the department name

• Alright Normal LP
• Upper/Lower case
• Flush left align department with UTMC logotype
• The top edge of the department name aligns is approx .125 – .25 beneath the base of the UToledo shield.
