Join the Women’s Mentoring Network
The Women's Mentoring Network (WMN) is a place for all women-identified members of the UToledo community who are interested in building authentic and genuine relationships with other women on campus. Our vision of mentorship is not limited to the traditional hierarchal model, like those rooted in patriarchy. The WMN will provide an opportunity to create and sustain relationships at varying levels to meet your needs for personal and/or professional support, growth, and development.
How to join?
We want joining the WMN to be as easy as possible; you can join by coming to a WMN event or by emailing one of our co-chairs, Danielle and Melissa. After joining, you will be added into the WMN Social Network on Microsoft Teams and receive email reminders about upcoming events.
How do we define mentoring?
The WMN defines mentoring as an authentic and genuine relationship between individuals who have a mutual goal to support one another. Mentorship is provided by an individual sharing their personal experiences and knowledge to engage with others for the purpose of providing insight, guidance, and/or problem solving. We see mentorship as reciprocal relationship where those engaged utilize this personal connection to provide or have their varying levels of need met for personal and/or professional growth and development.
Circle Connects
The WMN will host a variety of Circle Connects throughout the year, starting in the spring 2024 semester. These circles are designed to create intentional opportunities for individuals with shared experiences to come together, create relationships, build community and support one another's growth and development.
