ECW Advisory Board

A staple of the Eberly Center since its inception in 1977, the Catherine S. Eberly Center for Women Advisory Board is comprised of members from The University of Toledo and surrounding Toledo area. The Board provides support, guidance, and advice to the Director of the Eberly Center for Women (ECW) and serves as an ambassador for ECW programs and initiatives. Members serve a three-year term and are responsible for regularly attending bi-monthly Board meetings and supporting Eberly Center programs and initiatives.

Time Commitment

  • Three-year term as per Advisory Board By-Laws. (may serve up to 3 terms)
  • Regular attendance at bi-monthly Board meetings.
  • Regular attendance at standing committee (ad-hoc) meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Support fundraising initiatives for the ECW.
  • Continually seek new resources for the ECW.
  • Advocate and network for the ECW on campus and in the greater Toledo area.
  • Attend signature ECW events and programs and encourage students to attend.
  • Serve on a standing committee with a minimum one-year commitment.

At this time we are seeking community members, faculty, staff, and students to assist with the following committees:

  • Scholarships and Awards: assists ECW staff with promoting and processing scholarship and award applications, and with hosting the annual recognition ceremony. 
  • Fundraising: works with ECW director and UToledo Foundation staff to raise funds for Eberly Center programs and scholarships.
  • Outreach and Engagement: works with ECW staff to develop and promote events of interest to campus and community.
