Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) |
At least 51% of the business is owned and operated by one or more United States Citizens who are members of the following groups: African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American and Asian-Pacific American. |
Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) |
At least 51% of the business is owned by one or more women and the daily business is controlled by one or more women. |
Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) |
At least 51% of the business is owned and operated by one or more veterans. A veteran is defined as a person who has worked in active military service. One or more veterans must control the daily business operations |
LGBTQ Owned |
At least 51% owned and operated by a LGBT person or persons who are either U.S. Citizens or lawful permanent residents. The principal place of business must be in the United States. |
Small Business |
Small business is defined by the U.S. Small Business Adminstration (SBA). Title 13, Part 121 of the Code of Federal Regulations sets forth the criteria to be used by the SBA in making small business determinations. |
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) |
Firms must be a small business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Economic disadvantages may include education, employment, residence or business location or social disadvantage and lack of business training |
HUBZone |
A Hubzone small business must be located in a 'historically underutilized business zone' and be owned and controlled by one or more US Citizens; at least 35% of its employees must reside in a Hubzone. |
