Dr. Milz is a Professor in the School of Population Health (SPH) in the College Health and Human Services at the University of Toledo. She is Program Director of the CEPH-accredited MPH degree. Dr. Milz and the faculty members in her program oversee five majors in the MPH program. SPH also offers an ABET-ASAC accredited Master of Science in Occupational Health (MSOH) degree – Industrial Hygiene program. Currently, there are approximately 150 students enrolled in the two graduate programs.
Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Toledo, Dr. Milz served as the Safety and Occupational Health Manager at the Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, IL and as a field industrial hygienist for the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. She also spent two years as an epidemiologist for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Dr. Milz has been active for many years at both ACGIH® and AIHA. She serves on the board of directors of ACGIH.
Dr. Milz earned a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Preventive Medicine (Epidemiology) from The Ohio State University and a PhD in Public Health Sciences (Industrial Hygiene) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has a Master of Organizational Development (MOD) degree from Bowling Green State University. She is also certified in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene.
