ONLINE learning support

Have technical issues affecting your remote learning? UToledo’s Online Learning Help Desk can assist you. You can call the Help Desk at 866.886.5336, email utlv@utoledo.edu or chat live. Help Desk staff will be available during the following hours.

Success Coach

Have questions about your academic success? Success coaches are available to help you through any academic questions or concerns you may have. Please call 419.530.1250 or email successcoach@utoledo.edu to connect with a coach. You can also get help from an academic advisor via phone, video conference or email. Writing Center

The Writing Center assists all University of Toledo students on a variety of writing projects in any subject and at any point in the writing process. Writing Center Consultants provide feedback to help students generate ideas, organize thoughts, and clarify main points in addition to helping with the revision process.  Appointments are easy to schedule online at your convenience--visit www.utoledo.mywconline.com to schedule. For step-by-step instructions on how to schedule an appointment, click here

Online Writing Support - Synchronous (existing or occurring at the same time) or asynchronous (not existing or occurring at the same time) appointments are available for students to schedule. Students with questions about the Writing Center can contact staff via video conferencing, phone 419.530.7753, or email writingenter@utoledo.edu


 Tutoring - Learning Enhancement Center

The Learning Enhancement Center (LEC) provides all University of Toledo undergraduate students with accessible, professional, academic support services to enhance student success and retention. The LEC offers FREE tutoring in math, science, engineering, statistics, and business as well as academic coaching and workshops.

CAREER SERVICES

Although you’ll be taking classes remotely for the remainder of the semester. UToledo remains dedicated to your career success. Career Services can still assist you with career exploration, resumes, cover letters, mock interviews and job searches. The Virtual Career Center is available 24/7 via the myUT portal under the University Career Services heading. You may also participate in a remote staff consultation via phone, email, Zoom or WebEx.

To schedule a remote appointment, email careerserviecs@utoledo.edu or self-schedule your appointment via Handshake. We’re especially encouraging  graduates to contact Career Services for help with post-graduation employment.


Library Services

For the rest of the spring semester, libraries at The University of Toledo are closed. All overdue book fines will be waived.

Services such as book delivery by interlibrary loan and OhioLINK will be suspended. However, access to the University’s electronic collections will still be available; connect to our extensive selection of digital titles via UTMOST Discovery or browse our fully online journals.

Chat, phone and email reference services will be active as well.

The University of Toledo's LaValley Law Library is also closed, but law librarians are still available for UToledo students, faculty and staff via email at lavalleylaw@utoledo.edu. Required West and Foundation Press eCasebooks will also remain available for online access. Call 877.888.1330 to get set up. Online access is complimentary through the end of the spring semester. The law library will not enforce due dates on checked out materials as long as law classes are online. If you currently have books checked out, email Christie Lowry, legal reference librarian, at christina.lowry@utoledo.edu to change your due dates. 


Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources

Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources works with students with various disabilities which include mental health conditions, chronic health conditions, learning disabilities, sensory and mobility impairments and temporary medical conditions. 

Due to the impact of COVID-19, you may find that disability accommodations may be necessary to support your participation in the remote learning experience. The transition to remote learning may also change the type of access and accommodations you may need. Textbook Support

Exclusively for the spring 2020 semester, Barnes & Noble is allowing UToledo students to access eTextbooks from select publishers free of charge via VitalSource. The VitalSource FAQ page provides step-by-step instructions for accessing eTextbook materials with your Rocket email address.

Mail your rented textbooks back for free at the end of the semester. View step-by-step rental return instructions. 

Even though UToledo Barnes & Noble is closed you can still order there regalia (Non-JD) and nursing pins. Regalia and Nursing Pins please fill out this form.
