Nathan Goetting

Lecturer in Law

Nathan Goetting is a Professor of Criminal Justice & Jurisprudence at Adrian College, a small liberal arts college not far from campus in Adrian, Mich. His areas of expertise include constitutional law and civil liberties. He teaches occasional weekend and summer courses on those subjects.

Professor Goetting served as Editor-in-Chief of National Lawyers Guild Review for ten years and remains an active member of the editorial board. His scholarship has been cited in Harvard Law & Policy Review; Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice; and University of Colorado Law Review, among other publications. He has a juris doctor with a concentration in constitutional law and civil rights from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School (formerly Thomas M. Cooley Law School), where he was mentored by Philip J. Prygoski, and a master of arts in philosophy from Western Michigan University. He is the 2016 recipient Adrian College's Creative Activity, Research, and Scholarship Award (faculty-wide for best contribution to one's field).

Professor Goetting lives in Adrian, Mich. with his wife Amanda, his sons Lucas and Samuel, and his dogs Emile and Kaiser.
