Student Resource Fair

Come see what the University of Toledo and the Health Science Campus have to offer!  We've assembled the offices you need to get ready for the first day of classes - all in one handy area just for Fall Kickoff 2016.  Enjoy snacks and refreshments, giveaways, and meet the people here to provide student services and resources just for you!

The University of Toledo is part of a wonderful community with places to go and sites to see all over the city and surrounding areas.  We have assembled a "community table" for you to select the information about the community that you want to see!

A list of our current participants is below along with links to each of their websites.  In addition, a map of the Resource Fair layout will be available for your convenience the day of the event.

Academic Enrichment Center   The Academic Enrichment Center provides academic support services for students in the Health Science professional programs by facilitating student engagement and collaboration, fostering self directed learning, and providing resources which contribute to student academic success.
Auxiliary Services/Rocket Wireless   The office of Auxiliary Services proudly serves the University of Toledo community by managing many campus-wide enterprises.  Our operations include Rocket ID Cards, Rocket Wireless, Copy Center, Copier Programs and Door Access for main campus and Rocket's Technology Central.
Barnes and Noble University of Toledo Bookstore The official bookstore of the University of Toledo.  Find deals on new, used, and digital textbooks to rent or buy along with all of your UT apparel needs!
Career Services Career Services provides students with tools to succeed. We offer resources and strategies for choosing a college major, developing career plans, preparing for a job search and interview, identifying internships and full-time career positions.
Community/Rocket Wellness The University of Toledo Rocket Wellness is designed to provide the necessary tools to help along a journey to a healthier lifestyle.  Each quarter, there will be a specific health focus area. There are many things to learn and much fun to have so, join us in becoming a healthier community!
Council of Biomedical Graduate Students (CBGS) This group represents the interests of students in the four biomedical science tracks of Cancer Biology; Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases; Infection, Immunity, and Transplantation, and Neuroscience and Neurological Disorders at the Ph.D. and Masters' levels.  In addition, the groups hosts the health science research forum each year.
Graduate Student Association (GSA) The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is an organization that strives to voice the concerns of graduate students, representing the 4,924 graduate students at The University of Toledo, while also providing funding to subsidize travel to conferences and symposiums. The GSA represents the diverse graduate student community as a whole meeting with the Graduate Council, a body of Deans & UT Faculty, weekly. The GSA also organizes social events both on and off campus, to help graduate students develop social and professional contacts across all of the University’s colleges. Together, we maintain UT as a first rate institution for graduate education, across all fields of study working to improve the human condition.
Huntington Bank Huntington is located on The University of Toledo Main Campus in the Student Union.  It is a full-service branch that offers convenient access for faculty, staff and students, as well as the community with the ability to cash checks, open accounts, review account statements, and apply for loans.  The ATM machines across all campuses dispense $20's, $10's, and $1's.  
Information Technology The information technology department works with the MyUTMobile App, the MyUT web portal, student software and printing needs, as well as assists students with IT Help Desk support 24/7.  Come see us to help set up your laptop for UT WIFI access, assistance with setting up your mobile devices, gaining network access, software deals for students, your Rocket UTAD account, or accessing your Rocket Email!
Institute for Healthcare Improvement

Institute for Healthcare Improvement is an established worldwide interprofessional organization with 700 chapters in 70 different countries that is all about education and collaboration among all healthcare disciplines, and not only among students but also professionals. The goal of the organization is to advance quality improvement and patient safety competencies among all disciplines. In addition to other educational resources, IHI offers free online courses in improvement capability, patient safety, person- and family-centered care, leadership, and quality/ cost/and value for students, residents, and faculty. Here at UT, IHI has a liaison from each school on the health science campus- pharmacy, healthcare administration, public health, physician assistant, nursing, and medicine. We want to learn from our collective experiences, brainstorm ideas to implement, and connect with other dedicated medical professionals across the country.

Morse Center  The Morse Center is part of the Office of Recreation at the University of Toledo.  Students are eligible to use the Morse Fitness Center on the Health Science Campus, as well as the Student Recreation Center on the Main Campus.  Come visit our table for more information on fitness programs and exercise classes available to students!
Office of International Student Services (OISS) The Office of International Student Services is here to help you gain  knowledge about the University of Toledo such as immigration check-in, placement testing, paying for school, acquiring permanent housing, health insurance and to learn about the many education opportunities that UT offers both inside and outside of the classroom.
Rocket Athletics Welcome to Rocket Nation!  UT has a wide range of collegiate athletic teams, including football, basketball, track and field, tennis, volleyball, baseball, and many others.  Take a break from studying and enjoy taking in a Rocket sporting event! 
Student Disability Services Our mission is to collaborate with and empower students who have disabilities in order to coordinate accommodations/adjustments and programs that enable equal access to education and university life. It is important that you understand your role in the process of receiving accommodations/adjustments whether you are a student seeking accommodations/adjustments for the first time at UT or a student already approved for and receiving accommodations/adjustments.  Come visit our table to speak to a representative or visit our website at the link provided.
Student Health Insurance The University of Toledo believes it is important that all students maintain health care coverage to help ensure academic success and well-being. To be in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), all individuals are required by law to have health insurance coverage. To assist with this goal, The University of Toledo is again offering the Student Health Coverage Plan, run by Student Educational Benefit Trust (SEBT)-Medical Health Services (MHS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Medical Mutual of Ohio. Pharmacy coverage is included; students may also select optional vision and dental coverage plans. We believe the Plan provides excellent levels of health coverage, with low out-of-pocket costs when compared to plans offered commercially or through the  ACA website.
Student Service Center
(Registrar, Financial Aid, Treasurer's Office/Student Accounts)
The Student Service Center is located on the Health Science Campus and is similar to Rocket Solution Central on the Main Campus.  The Student Service Center encompasses Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and the Registrar Services.  Come speak with a representative at our Student Resource Fair table should you need assistance in the areas of registration, financial aid, or paying your student bill.
Writing Center The Writing Center is a free service open to UT students, staff, and faculty. We provide face-to-face tutoring for writers in all disciplines working on various types of writing projects. Come visit us to engage in a dialogue about YOUR ideas and how best to convey them!
University Libraries The mission of the University Libraries is to drive excellence in life-long learning, discovery and engagement.  Within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, we enrich the student learning experience, facilitate research at all levels and engage the community through innovative educational services, resources and technologies.
UT Credit Union The University of Toledo Federal Credit Union provides regular financial accounts (savings, checking, term certificates and consumer loans) and services to UT students and alumni. We pay our members greater interest on their deposits and charge lower fees. In addition, we also provide money orders, traveler's checks, amusement park tickets and Western Union services to the entire university community. ATMs which connect to several national systems including MAC and Cirrus and are affiliated with several banks including KeyBank and Huntington Banks are located in the basement of the Mulford Library.
