The BIG Event is the largest, one-day, student-run service project at The University of Toledo where students come together to say "Thank You" to the residents of Toledo, Bancroft Hills, and Secor Gardens for their continued support throughout the year. On Saturday, March 19, 2016, over 1,400 students provided over 6,300 total hours of service to the community in one day.
Students participate in this annual event to show their appreciation to the surrounding community by completing service projects such as volunteering throughout the community and in those neighborhoods that are closest to us. Although the BIG Event has become the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation, the message and our mission remains the same: to simply say, "Thank You."
This years Big Event is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

If you or your group have time conflicts and cannot commit to the full day, you can still participate for the time you have available.

This event is our way of saying "Thank You" to the residents of the City of Toledo. Projects include yard work, window washing, and painting for community members.
