Derek Faasse Where did you go to school and your major?I majored in Sociology at Western Michigan University and received my Master’s in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama. Favorite Place on Campus?There is a green space between Wolfe Hall and Carlson Library that’s frequented by a doe and her fawn just after sunset. It’s a place that truly cements that The University of Toledo offers the best of both words: a campus not far from major metropolitan areas and all the opportunities that they offer, but at the same time a place that still gives you access to outdoor recreation and nature. Best advice for prospective freshmen?Visit and ask! The job of the admissions office is the help you find your best fit. It’s not just an academic program or a scholarship, but a place that you’ll call home. Make sure you truly get a feel for what it’s like to be on a college campus and make sure you leave no question left unanswered. While you might think the admissions office has heard every single question there is, we haven’t heard them from you – never be afraid to get more informed about your decision! |
