As Chief Executive Officer of University of Toledo Health, David Morlock is responsible for the operational and strategic activities of UT’s hospital and clinics, in service of the University’s mission. He is also engaged in representing UT Health in the community, with donors, and with other external organizations.
As the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration, Morlock is responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring the business operations and operational activities of the financial, human resources, information technology, facilities, campus safety, and auxiliary functions for The University of Toledo in the promotion and fulfillment of UT’s vision and mission. Mr. Morlock is also engaged in representing UT with external organizations, as well as coordinating the planning and completion of capital projects and strategic planning for UT.
Morlock has more than 27 years of experience in health care, higher education and finance, with extensive experience in organizational leadership, strategy, finance and business development. Before joining The University of Toledo, he was a Senior Vice President at Accretive Health, a national health-care consulting firm. Before joining Accretive Health, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Associate Director of the University of Michigan Health System, working with the University for more than 20 years. This included executive responsibility for all financial aspects of the University’s hospitals, medical school and group practice, with a combined annual operating budget of $3B. He was named the CFO of the Year in Healthcare by Crains’ Detroit Business in 2010.Morlock received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Slippery Rock University and his M.B.A. from Eastern Michigan University.
