  • Academic Enrichment Center
    Provides academic support for students in the Health Science professional programs. Facilitates student engagement and collaboration, fosters self-directed learning and provides resources that contribute to student academic success.
  • Academic Test Center
    The Academic Test Center offers comprehensive support for student testing in UToledo's College of Medicine and Life Sciences and is approved to administer the computer-based National Board Examinations (USMLE Steps I, II and III). The Test Center also provides testing in a secured environment for students from around the world. 
  • Advanced Simulation and Gaming Studio Focuses on complex software using artificial intelligence applied in simulation game structures. Creates serious games for academic and training applications, including research on how to deploy intelligence in simulation game avatars.
  • American Language Institute Provides intensive English training to students, scholars and area residents of international origin.
  • Area Health Education Centers Develops programs in healthcare career education, community health education, continuing medical education, clinical education and health manpower.
  • Asian Studies Institute
    Manages the Asian Studies degree program and coordinates scholarly activities with Asia.
  • Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women
    Advances gender equity through high-impact and innovative programs that uplift women and gender minorities, build community and mobilize changemakers.
  • Carver Center
    Educates and promotes the use of technology in teaching, research and service for students, faculty, staff and external partners of the Judith Herb College of Education.
  • Center for Continuous Improvement
    Leverages the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation’s teaching/learning capabilities and research expertise to address issues that adversely impact the business climate and economic development of the region.
  • Center for Creative Instruction 
    Our team of web developers, software engineers, multimedia experts, 3D animators and medical illustrators provides web development support and builds effective solutions to shape the future of teaching and learning at The University of Toledo. 
  • Center for Drug Design and Development
    A university-wide resource for developing collaborative research and technologies that can be effectively matured and ultimately delivered within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Center for Geography Information Sciences and Applied Planning
    Serves as a focal point for GIS contract research on campus and in the local and regional community, a clearinghouse for GIS research opportunities, and provides sources of expertise to enhance student learning at all levels and across a wide range of academic disciplines.
  • Center for Hypertension and Precision Medicine
    Promotes interdisciplinary research and furthers knowledge, education and public awareness in the field of cardiovascular disease.
  • Center for International Studies and Programs (CISP)
    Supports members of the UToledo community, students and faculty in their pursuit of knowledge, cultural exchanges and global opportunities.
  • Center for Education in Mass Violence and Suicide
    Dedicated to developing solutions, providing resources and conducting research to keep communities safe and informed on mass violence and suicide.
  • Center for Health and Successful Living
    The Center blends educational experiences for students, research opportunities for faculty members, volunteer opportunities for survivors of chronic illnesses, service opportunities for members of the community and the provision of customized services.
  • Center for Materials and Sensor Characterization
    This center on UToledo’s Main Campus is in the North Engineering building. This is a multi-user facility established for microstructural, chemical and thermal characterization in the fields of material, biological and environmental sciences. The facility houses state-of-the art electron microscopes and various other characterization instruments. 
  • Center for Performing Arts
    The Center for Performing Arts is home to the University’s music and theatre and film departments. Throughout the academic school year, it hosts theatre productions and concerts.
  • Center for Racial Equity and Black Student Excellence
    The center’s leadership team focuses on services and programming for Black students to to help them graduate and excel in their careers. 
  • Center for Religious Understanding
    Promotes a deeper understanding of religion on campus, in the greater Toledo region, in the nation and in the world.
  • Center for Success Coaching
    Empowers students to thrive academically, personally and professionally from orientation to graduation through a holistic, student-centered approach.
  • Center for Successful Aging 
    Meets the expanding needs of older adults and families in northwest Ohio. Provides quality education, research and services to older adults and their families and quality educational experiences for UToledo students and healthcare professionals.
  • Center for the Visual Arts
    This four-story building designed by world-renowned architect Frank O. Gehry was dedicated in 1993. Physically attached to the ground floor of the Toledo Museum of Art, the CVA provides students and faculty direct access to the Museum’s world-class collections of western and non-western art.
  • College of Nursing’s Learning Resource Center
    A hands-on learning environment where our students are given the opportunity to begin the process of turning theory into practice. Students work in pairs to learn physical assessment skills and work with high-tech task trainers to learn technical skills.
  • Confucius Institute
    Committed to serving northwest Ohio by providing education in Chinese language and culture. Develops and enhances China-related scholarly research/discovery, academic programs, and educational and training programs that support business outreach and engagement. Offers opportunities for cultural exchanges between China and the U.S.
  • Counseling Center
    The University Counseling Center is the primary university-based mental health service for University of Toledo students. 
  • Early Learning Center
    An on-campus, five-star early childhood program for children from infancy to five years old.
  • Family Business Center (FBC)
    An education and development resource for more than 200 family, privately held business members.
  • Global Business Development Institute
    The Global Business Development Institute (GBDI) is dedicated to strengthening the global competitiveness of firms in the Great Lakes region through development of an internationally experienced workforce.  
  • Herb Innovation Center
    Improves education by supporting innovative and sustainable educational and human science research and by offering students applied research experiences vital to their professional development.
  • Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center (IISC)
    A state-of-the-art, hands-on training environment for UToledo students and northwest Ohio healthcare professionals ― simulation models, simulated clinical settings, virtual immersive environments and medical visualization.
  • Instrumentation Center
    Supports research of UToledo faculty with advice, technical assistance and access to advanced scientific equipment. Educates and trains graduate students.
  • Jack Ford Urban Affairs Center
    An applied research unit of UToledo whose mission is to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of Toledo and its metropolitan region.
  • Jacobson Center for Clinical & Translational Research
    Promotes and facilitates clinical and translational research. Provides education and training in clinical research practices and informs research community of opportunities for clinical trials.
  • Lake Erie Center
    A research and educational facility focused on environmental conditions and aquatic resources in Maumee Bay and western Lake Erie.
  • Learning Enhancement Center
    Provides students with accessible, professional, academic support services that enhance success and retention.
  • Legal Institute of the Great Lakes
    A multi-disciplinary research center within The University of Toledo College of Law. Supports research, maintains publications and sponsors conferences on legal, economic and social issues of importance to the Great Lakes region of the U.S. and Canada.
  • Military Service Center
    Our Military Service Center recognizes the sacrifices of our service members and their families and is dedicated to helping them achieve continued success. Provides accessible education, degree completion opportunities and customized support services.
  • Minority Business Development Center
    Offers assistance for minority-owned, early-stage firms. Nurtures entrepreneurial and economic development in the Toledo community by providing office space, training, mentoring and professional advisors.  
  • Plant Science Research Center
    Conducts research in plant biology and serves as a regional and global resource for research in plant sciences.
  • Polymer Institute
  • A College of Engineering center for research and development in polymers and plastics technology, as well as an education and industrial training center. Provides industrial support through contract research and development.
  • Pre-Health Advising Center
    The Pre-Health Advising Center support students during their academic journey. Helps develop strong metrics, attributes and experiences to become a competitive applicant for medical, dental and veterinary school.
  • Recreation Center
    The Recreation Center serves as the main physical fitness center for students and members. Offers exercise equipment, activity spaces, group fitness classes and an Olympic-sized lap pool.
  • Ritter Astrophysical Research Center
    A research and educational facility that includes a planetarium and observatory and is home to the faculty, students and staff of the astrophysics department.
  • Ruth M. Hillebrand Clinical Skills Center
    Provides healthcare professionals and students a supportive environment in which to hone their interpersonal and empathetic skills, as well as their diagnostic and problem-solving techniques. 
  • Student Service Center – Health Science Campus
    Located on the Health Science Campus, the Student Service Center provides answers to student inquiries about accounts, financial aid, registrar and College of Medicine and Life Sciences.
  • Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections
    Acquires, preserves, organizes and makes available for research the institutional memory of The University of Toledo, as well as the personal and organizational records of the people and industries of Toledo and northwest Ohio. 
  • Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization (PVIC)
    A resource to strengthen photovoltaics research and its manufacturing base in Ohio.
  • University Teaching Center
    A resource for all University of Toledo instructors. Seeks to promote excellence and innovation in teaching by providing teaching resources, toolkits and learning events.
  • University of Toledo Medical Center
    Serves the heath needs of the Toledo community while training future physicians and medical professionals.
  • Writing Center
    Supports student writers as they complete writing assignments. Focuses on ideas, organization, development, argument, synthesis and writers’ concerns.
