Professional Menswear Closet

The Professional Menswear Closet serves as an on-campus resource for UT students. Students can select professional clothing items in preparation for an upcoming interview or new job at no cost to them.  Shopping visits are by appointment only, no same day appointments can be made.

Shopper Rules

  • Shoppers must be current UT students
  • Shoppers must make an appointment to shop; appointments are scheduled by completing an online appointment request form.
  • Shoppers must call Career Services to cancel or reschedule at least one hour before scheduled appointment. No-call/no-shows will have to wait 30 days before scheduling another appointment. Two no-call/no-shows will result in permanent loss of shopping privileges.
  • Shoppers are allowed to shop one time every three months.
  • In order to serve as many students as possible, the number of items is limited for each shopper each visit.
  • Appointments will be for one shopper at a time, shoppers are welcome to invite one guest to help them shop.
  • No returns or exchanges are allowed.
  • No food or drink permitted in the closet.

How can you help?

The closet's inventory operates completely on donations. At this time, we are accepting new and gently used men’s clothing donations:

  • Suits and separates
  • Sport coats and jackets
  • Pants (no jeans, cargos or carpenter pants)
  • Dress shirts and polos
  • Sweaters and vest
  • Ties/belts/shoes/new socks
  • Professional styled outerwear/coats

Clothing must be clean, in good condition and free of stains, on hangers preferred.
