UToledo Human Resources

Working through COVID-19

We are committed to continuing our operations and offering a world-class education for our students and quality care to our patients. For the latest information on UToledo’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, visit utoledo.edu/coronavirus.

For questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, please refer to: https://www.utoledo.edu/coronavirus/vaccine/

If you are feeling anxious during the COVID-19 pandemic, you may benefit from seeking counseling. Faculty and staff should contact their mental health provider or reach out to the University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Impact Solutions. Call 1-800-227-6007 (Use “UT” as the username).

Possible COVID-19 Exposure Contact List and Next Steps for STudents/Faculty/Staff

In accordance with the latest guidelines and advisement from Lucas County, please see COVID-19 Contact List and Next Steps for contact instructions and further additional steps that should be taken by students, faculty or staff in the event you believe a COVID-19 exposure has potentially occurred.

Masks and Face Coverings Requirement

To protect the health and safety of employees, students and visitors, face coverings are required on all University of Toledo campuses, with limited medical and safety exceptions.

For full details on requirements, including exceptions to the requirement, please see the Masks and Face Coverings Requirement guide.

Flexible Work Arrangements

UToledo continues to permit supervisors to work with their employees who are in need of flexibility during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to establish temporary work arrangements during this uncertain time, not to exceed May 31, 2021. In areas where remote work is possible, it is important to maintain on-campus operations by staggering and rotating staff between remote work and on-campus work. The updated Flexible Work Agreement online form needs to be completed by the manager or supervisor, not the employee, and approved at the director or vice president level.

Return to Work Criteria for UToledo Employees with Close COntact, Suspected or confirmed, COVID-19

UToledo has established detailed guidelines and criteria for the return to work for any UToledo employees, including Healthcare Providers(HCP) that have had Close Contact, Suspected or Confirmed, with COVID-19. The Return to Work Criteria document will provide full details.
