LGBTQA+ Advisory Board
The LGBTQA+ Advisory Board meets monthly to provide input and guidance to LGBTQA+ Initiatives – Office of Multicultural Student Success, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on planning, implementation, and operational aspects for the enhancement of LGBTQ students, faculty, staff and community. The Advisory Board serves as ambassadors for the LGBTQA+ community within the University community. The LGBTQA+ Advisory Board can be reached at LGBTQA+AB@utoledo.edu with any questions or concerns.
LGBTQA+ ADVISORY BOARD MISSION:
The LGBTQA+ Advisory Board collaborates with offices and programs across campus to provide outreach, support, advocacy and community building for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, queer and asexual students, faculty, and staff. In alignment with the university’s core values of diversity and inclusion, the advisory board works with relevant campus departments and organizations to respond to the needs and concerns of UToledo’s LGBTQA+ community.

Campus Pride Index
The Campus Pride Index sets the bar higher for LGBTQ-inclusive policies, programs
and practices. The index is owned and operated by Campus Pride, the leading national nonprofit organization for student leaders and campus groups
working to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and
universities. The index is supported under the Campus Pride Q Research Institute for
Higher Education as well as benefits from strategic partnerships with professional
organizations in higher education and related LGBTQ nonprofit organizations.

2019 LGBTQA+ Strategic Plan
Diversity Plan
The primary assumption associated with this LGBTQA+ Strategic Diversity Plan is that the University will allocate resources to establish the appropriate infrastructure for maximum operating efficiency. The goals and strategies described in this Strategic Plan will focus on the following areas of the University in order to provide focus and direction for the plan:
- Recruitment and Retention
- Education, Awareness, and Engagement
- Gender Identity and Gender Expression Inclusion
- Gender Neutral Facilities
- Resources and Support
