Prospective Students

Graduate students enrolled in the Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department (MIME) at The University of Toledo may pursue 

Masters students can pursue a coursework-only degree or complete a masters project or thesis. 

The research focus of the department is in the following areas:

  1. Computational and Experimental Thermal Sciences,
  2. Manufacturing Processes and Systems, and
  3. Materials, Mechanics and Design.

Is there funding available?

If you apply and are admitted, you will be considered for a tuition scholarship or a teaching assistantship based on your application materials. These awards are made on a competitive basis. We notify you in writing of any assistance granted, therefore, you do not need to contact the department regarding financial assistance. Additional funding opportunities are also available.

how do I apply?

All graduate applications must be submitted to the University of Toledo College of Graduate Studies. Once your application is complete (with necessary GRE, TOEFL scores and transcripts), your application will be forwarded to the MIME Department for review.

What is the deadline?

There is no deadline to be admitted to the MIME graduate programs, however, those who would like to be fully considered for a teaching assistantship or tuition scholarship should have all application materials submitted to the College of Graduate Studies by February 28.
