Address the Student Learning Outcomes for multicultural diversity courses.
Recruitment and Retention
Chair: Gary Insch
Identify opportunities to enhance UToledo faculty involvement in the student recruitment and retention process. Define metrics for faculty involvement in student recruitment and retention. Advise university administrators on the resources needed to enhance collaboration with faculty on recruitment and retention. Provide analysis and input to university administrators on the recruitment and retention process.
Recommendations from 2023-24 Ad-hoc Committee on Recruitment and Retention final report:
Reconstitute the RRC during AY 2024/2025 to catalyze collaboration between UToledo’s Faculty and Administration to:
- Implement the Art & Science Group’s recommendations and act on them swiftly and thoroughly.
- Develop a communication plan for educating recruiters about innovative/career-advancing learning experiences available in our academic programs and the strength of our academic programs.
- To strengthen ties with local school districts, identify faculty members to visit the schools (either individual classrooms or schoolwide assemblies) and educate students and teachers about their disciplines and related opportunities at UToledo.
- Develop a more effective and reliable Enrollment Management/Academic Department communication plan to optimize the planning and execution of recruitment-related activities and events.
Budget
Chair: Aliaksandr Amialchuk
Work with the Provost Office, Office of Finance and Administration, and college deans to create transparency in the budget process. Provide analysis and input to the budget process at the college and university levels. Report college budgets to Faculty Senate to create transparency.
