Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences Concentration
Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences is one of the undergraduate concentrations offered by
the Exercise Science Program. Students who pursue this concentration earn the Bachelor
of Science in Exercise Science degree. Typically, these students plan on pursuing
doctoral programs in Physical Therapy (DPT) or masters programs in Athletic Training
after completing their bachelor's degree. The curriculum has been designed to provide
all of the courses and educational experiences required for admission into these graduate
programs. Through electives in the Pre-Rehabilitation Sciences concentration, students
have the opportunity to customize their curriculum with the help of their academic
advisor to meet unique admission requirements that may be needed for the DPT or AT
programs here at the University of Toledo or at other universities.
There are many factors that set the Exercise Science Program's Pre-Rehabilitation
Sciences concentration apart from those at other colleges and universities. These
include state-of-the-art teaching labs, advanced training in human anatomy that includes
experience in a cadaver lab, and an on-campus rehabilitation center in which to get
clinical experience. There is no better place to prepare for a career in physical
therapy or athletic training than the University of Toledo's Exercise Science Program.
