Over the years, the small business support organizations in the region have developed a network of services, and relationships to better serve our clients. Below, we have listed several organizations that we believe offer valuable services and resources to the small business community.

The program works to bolster innovation in our region by providing access to capital, business development resources, and expertise focused on enhancing collaboration and communication for entrepreneurial development. We're focused on taking business ventures from concept to commercialization and providing a framework for companies to thrive and become self-sustaining. 

Minority Business Development Center

The University of Toledo Minority Business Development Center (MBDC) mission is to foster an environment that offers assistance for minority-owned, early-stage firms. The MBDC will help nurture entrepreneurial and economic development in the Toledo community by providing office space, training, mentoring and a network of professional advisors.

Family Business Center

We believe more members mean more networking, more unique perspectives, more opportunities to learn from each other and more relationship-building. With over 200 members and exciting slate of upcoming events, it's a great time to be part of the Center!

Small Business Development Centers

The Ohio Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provide business counseling and assistance to individuals who are either starting or growing their business. Each center is staffed with highly-trained, Certified Business Advisors® (CBA) to help small businesses and entrepreneurs with development and growth to increase sales and create jobs in their local communities.

Development Services Agency

The Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) works to support Ohio's businesses, large and small, as they maneuver in the global economy. ODSA has resources to assist these businesses as they grow.

At Women of Toledo, we offered programs and services that help tackle issues critical to women’s economic advancement and interrupt various biases in the workplace, marketplace, and community. We are teaching diverse groups of women and young women to lean in with our organization for support, connect with other women, build new skills and resources while creating a mentorship & peer networking circle to share ideas, offer support or seek advice.
