Historical/Biographical Sketch
Charles Terbille was an instrumental member to the University of Toledo Libraries. A native of Toledo, Terbille earned his A.B. from UT in 1965 then went on to earn his M.A. in 1966 and his Ph.D. in 1972 from the University of Michigan. He returned to UT in 1975 to earn his M.A.. Before working at UT, Terbille held positions at the Library of Ohio University from 1976 to 1980. He then worked as the Project Coordinator of Southeastern Ohio Library Organization from 1980 to 1982. Finally, Terbille started at Carlson Library as a part-time librarian from 1985 to 1986, when he briefly held a position at the Institute of Foreign Languages. In 1987, he was promoted to assistant professor and assistant reference librarian at the Carlson Library. He held the position until 2001 when he retired.
Scope and Content Note
Collection consists of files from various University Libraries committees that Terbille served on. The collection documents faculty issues within the library as well as issues with salaries, committees, funding and more. Folders are arranged in alphabetical order.
