John J. Feldmeier, D.O., FACRO

John J. Feldmeier, D.O., FACRO, FUHM, Professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Department of Radiation Oncology, is an authority on implant radiation therapy, hyperbaric oxygen for radiation injuries, gynecology and breast cancer, and cancers of the head and neck.

He is the co-director of the Urology Cancer Clinic at the University Medical Center.

A 1970 graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Dr. Feldmeier received his D.O. degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979 and completed residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed a fellowship training program in hyperbaric medicine at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas and currently is also board certified in hyperbaric medicine.

Dr. Feldmeier previously headed the radiation oncology section of the Hyperbaric Medicine Department at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. He is currently review editor of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is the previous chief of radiation oncology at Grace Hospital in Detroit, and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, where he was also the radiation oncology residency program director.
