Research and Teaching Interests

She worked at the Australian National University and the California Institute of Technology before joining the UToledo faculty in 2019. Her research focuses on galaxy evolution and black hole accretion and feedback, using multiwavelength observations and computer simulations that push the limits of technology to achieve the highest possible spatial resolution pictures of the nuclei of galaxies. She is passionate about equity and inclusion in astronomy and graduate/undergraduate education in general.

areas of expertise

  • Galactic winds and feedback
  • Supermassive black holes
