As a Transcultural Nursing author and scholar, Dr. Ehrmin has been nationally and internationally recognized for her contributions to transcultural nursing by the Transcultural Nursing Society, receiving the Transcultural Nursing Society Scholars Award in 2017. In 1995, Dr. Ehrmin was the recipient of the Leininger Transcultural Nursing Award for Excellence and Creative Leadership in Transcultural Nursing and Human Care from Wayne State University, College of Nursing, Detroit, Michigan. Since 2013, Dr. Ehrmin has served as Associate Editor for The Journal of Transcultural Nursing. Dr. Ehrmin also serves as a peer reviewer for the journal of Qualitative Health Research. Dr. Ehrmin has published several book chapters for Transcultural Concepts in Nursing Care and a number of journal articles with a focus on Transcultural Nursing, mental health and substance abuse.

Teaching Specialty/Interests Dr. Ehrmin has taught a number of courses in the Graduate Nursing Program in the areas of Family and Cultural Diversity Theories, Advanced Interpersonal Interventions, Public Policy and Healthcare in Nursing, Advanced Nursing Research and Theories of Addictive Behavior in the MSN and DNP Programs.
