For 150 years, The University of Toledo has been fueling tomorrows, and we are just getting started. Established in 1872, UToledo has a storied history and networks of more than 168,000 alumni around the world. Proudly located in Toledo, Ohio, UToledo is a public, research university with an academic medical center powering opportunity for students and caring for patients as we fulfill our mission to improve the human condition.

Goal: Drive constituent engagement with on-campus and virtual celebration events.
Marketing objectives:

  • Raise awareness about institutional history, community impact, and the forthcoming UToledo strategic plan. 
  • Drive constituent engagement in on-campus and virtual celebration events.
  • Support the UToledo Foundation's sesquicentennial giving campaign goal to raise $5 million dollars in FY23.

Audience: Alumni, donors, community members, faculty, staff, and students.
Strategy: UToledo's Office of Marketing and Communication created a commemorative mark, sesquicentennial website, special merchandise and brand guide to support the year-long, campus-wide integrated marketing campaign.
