Residence Life Check In Process

Moving into your residence hall is one of the most exciting experiences as a freshman and a continuing student as it marks the start and continuation of your college experience at The University of Toledo. To ensure the process is seamless, there are a few steps to guarantee you're financially ready to move in.

Important dates:
Review your eStatement (account balance for Fall)  Friday, July 8, 2022
Payment due or entered into Rocket Payment Plan Friday, August 5, 2022
Classes start Monday, August 29, 2022

The first step is to start and complete the financial aid process. Financial aid is not required, but if you're going to use financial aid funds, the process must be completed prior to your move-in.

Here's a step-by-step guide to completing your financial aid.

Complete your taxes at Your parents’ taxes may also be required.

Apply for your federal student aid ID. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form at

Search and apply for scholarships. A comprehensive list is available at

Check your financial aid status in your account on the myUT portal at

  1. Go to the My Financial Aid section of the My Toolkit menu.
  2. Click on the Check Eligibility Status link, then select Student Requirements and choose the appropriate year.
  3. Any outstanding requirements will be displayed.
  4. If you accept loans, you must complete the Loan Counseling section, as well as your Master Promissory Note at
  5. Did your parent(s) apply for the Parent Plus loan? If so, they must complete a Master Promissory Note at

Complete the alternative loan process, if needed, at This process could take up to two weeks, so apply early.

The next step is starting a payment plan, if needed. UT’s Rocket Payment Plan is available in your student account on the MyUT portal.

Pay your bill in full:

    • To submit an electronic payment: Go to the Student tab on the MyUT portal. Under My Accounts, click View/Pay Bill(e-statement). Next, click Log into payment application. Electronic payments post in real-time, so you’ll have an instant record.
