Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design Major

Cosmetic Science is a multidisciplinary applied science. Students in this program study the art, science, and business of cosmetics. They learn to develop, formulate, and produce cosmetics and personal care products. They also study regulations and how to assess products' safety, performance, and quality. Graduates of the cosmetic science and formulation design major are in high demand. Many have found jobs in the industry and others have continued on to graduate school.

Prerequisites

To progress into the professional division (final two years of the major):

  • You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • You must have successfully completed all prerequisites
