Donovan Nichols
Assistant Dean for Student Involvement & Leadership

Favorite Involvement ExperienceThere are way too many to choose from, so  I can’t pick just one.  I really enjoyed being a scholar in Levis Leadership UT and the Christian Leadership Program, brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon and Blue Key; counselor in YMCA Freshman Camp; Overall Director for RockeTHON (Dance Marathon); President of Student Government; Student Member on the Board of Trustees; and Founder of Blue Crew to name a few of my awesome experiences.

Fun Fact:  Because of my experience in Leadership UT and AmeriCorps at The University of Toledo, I became a national inspirational speaker in 2008 on the concept of Pay It Forward (selfless giving) and have spoken to thousands of people from New York to Hawaii.  In addition, I served on the Pay It Forward Foundation Board of Directors and as the International Co-Coordinator for Pay It Forward Day, which is now celebrated in over 75 countries.

Favorite Involvement Experience: Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority

Fun Fact:Brittany has three younger siblings that are taller than her!

Brittany oversees, advises and supports all social Greek organizations. She educates on risk prevention, organization management, new member education, etc. She provides leadership development opportunities for Greek students and organizations and challenges leaders to consistently strive for success. 



Evita Parks
Program Manager, Student Involvement

Hometown: Detroit, MI
Undergrad & Graduate Degree: Eastern Michigan University

Favorite Involvement Experience: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

Fun Fact: Evita loves orcas and enjoys watching documentaries about them. 

Evita advises CAP, Student Activities Committee and Homecoming Committee. She also oversees Commuter Student Services, major events, programming and student organizations. 



Callie Cannon
Events Coordinator

Hometown: Richland Center, WI
BA, Psychology, University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire

Favorite Involvement Experience: Blugold Beginnings, a mentoring program for elementary and middle school students in Eau Claire, WI

Fun Fact: Callie participated in National Student Exchange and studied for a semester at California State University - Northridge, near Los Angeles. 

Callie is responsible for the student organization event approval process and assists organizations with logistics for their events. She oversees the Resource Room and student organization publicity within the Student Union. Callie also helps coordinate the biannual Student Organization Fair, along with assisting with all major programs that are hosted by OSIL. 




Alana Brooks

Favorite Involvement Experience: Chi Omega

Fun Fact: Alana loves The Hunger Games! May the odds be ever in your favor. 

Alana co-oversees the Levis Leadership UT program, a scholarship-based leadership program with a total of 124 students. She is a co-instructor for the first year leadership classes in the program and helps promote the program to incoming student leaders. She also assists with the planning and implementation of various leadership events and programs, such as retreats, the Leadership Conference, Senior Graduation Banquet and Welcome Dinner. 



Nico Covarrubias

Favorite Involvement Experience: Alpha Psi Lambda National Inc. 

Fun Fact: Nico was the Toledo Blade mascot, Clementine the News Hound Dog

Nico co-advises Homecoming Committee and Student Activities Committee. He helps student organizations register through OrgSync as well as oversee the constitution revision process. He helps host mandatory meeting sessions that discuss student organization policies and procedures. Nico also oversees the New Student Organization process. 



Joe Lepone

Favorite Involvement Experience: BGSU Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) & UT CAP

Fun Fact: Joe had the opportunity to travel to Belgium, France and The Netherlands for two weeks with Ph.D students in Summer 2015. 

Joe assists in the planning and implementation of various events: First Weeks, Rocket to the Point, Off-Campus Housing Fairs, Parent & Family Weekend and Student Appreciation day. Joe also co-advises the Campus Activities & Programming board (CAP).

Favorite Involvement Experience: Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. 

Fun Fact: JP re-founded the Kappa Lambda Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity at The University of Akron. 

JP advises the Multicultural Greek Council and Gamma Sigma Alpha Honorary. He also co-advises IFC, NPC and NPHC. He assists the Program Manager in all programming/event planning for the university Greek Life community.
