Engineering

The Engineering Complex is the home of UToledo’s College of Engineering, one of the premiere engineering schools in Ohio.

The Engineering Complex is made up of Palmer Hall, Nitschke Hall and Auditorium, the Nitschke Commercialization Complex and the R1 Center. Within these buildings, UToledo’s prospective engineers engage in cutting-edge research, aided by some of the best technology available today, including three electron microscopes. Students also have the opportunity to commercialize their innovations, bringing their world-changing discoveries to market before they even leave campus.

In addition to the many engineering-related degrees and certificates, the College of Engineering offers dozens of engineering and professional societies and development opportunities. Every student is encouraged to join at least one.

Students in the College of Engineering also participate in paid co-ops, giving them a chance to earn money, get experience and often find full-time employment after graduation with their co-op employer.
