McComas Village

McComas Village was named after Dr. James McComas, the 12th president of The University of Toledo. Dr. McComas was popular with UToledo students and won approval from the Ohio Board of Regents to build housing for fraternities and sororities on campus.

McComas Village was completed in 1990 and houses seven social fraternities and seven social sororities, accommodating about 400 students. Each of the buildings has a common area with a formal living and dining room, a full kitchen and a laundry room. The second and third floors have living areas with two- and three-person rooms.

Each building also has a fully furnished basement, which serves as a recreation area.

The buildings in McComas Village are overseen by a house manager, and each has its own personality and feel, influenced by the chapters and members who call the buildings home.
