University of Toledo Medical Center
When the medical college was established, the plan included the construction of a hospital where physicians could be trained. Construction on the University of Toledo Medical Center began in 1975 and took four years and $40 million to complete.
Today, the community-focused teaching hospital offers the perfect learning environment for students in UToledo's medical school as well as other health-related majors. It's an important anchor in the community, delivering the highest quality healthcare.
UTMC is one of 895 hospitals nationwide to earn a four-star rating in the most recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services survey, which included more than 4,500 hospitals.
